Sponsorship Information

Philadelphia Symmetry is a Synchronized Skating organization formed in 2004 out of the Wissahickon Skating PS_header_logoClub in Chestnut Hill, PA.

For more information about our program, please contact us at TeamManager@PhiladelphiaSymmetry.org.

Currently, we serve over 130 skaters on nine competitive and two exhibition teams. Our skaters range in age from 7 – 65. This past season we added an Adult Open Masters team, which several of our parents and coaches participate in as well. As of this year, we run programs out of four local rinks; Hatfield Ice, Colmar, PA; Wissahickon Skating Club, Chestnut Hill, PA; Bucks County Ice Sports, Warrington, PA; and Wintersport Ice Arena, Willow Grove, PA.

Synchronized Skating consist of 8-20 skaters performing a choreographed routine to music and is the fastest growing discipline of figure skating. It is being considered for addition in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing, China.

Our competitive teams attend seven competitions throughout the country each season. We are one of the top four organizations on the East Coast and one of the top 12 in the country.

Our athletes train on and off the ice 3-6 days a week, depending on their age and competitive level. Our training includes on-ice choreography and skating skills practice, off-ice strength and conditioning, team building, weekly mental training sessions, and regular service projects.

We provide excellent technical instruction and creative choreography for our teams, but our mission at Philadelphia Symmetry is to bring out the best in each one of our athletes through self-awareness and empowerment. We believe that the better we know ourselves the better we can serve our teammates, families, and the world. We focus our training on the principles of aiming to be 1% better every day and WOW’ing our teammates with a thoughtful act that goes above and beyond at every opportunity.

Philadelphia Symmetry also gives back to the community through several service projects throughout the year. Such as Sarah Smiles, Operation Christmas Child, The Giving Tree, and more.

Philadelphia Symmetry Team Levels for 2017-2018 season

• Preliminary – ages 12 and under, majority under 10
• Open Juvenile – majority under 20 years old
• Juvenile – ages must be under 13 years old

Currently, our costs each season are approximately $700,000. About half of this covers travel and accommodations for parents and skaters. Ice time and coaching fees total $230,000. Competition registrations and apparel add up to $100,000.

Average cost per skater annually is approximately $3,000-$9,000 depending on team level. If a team goes to Nationals, this adds approximately $30,000 to $50,000 per team depending on location.

Your sponsorship would allow us to add additional value to our program in the form of extra on-ice and off-ice practices, provide for team buses for competition travel, and reduce the fees for our participants.

We are asking for you to consider five different levels of sponsorship.

• $1,000 – logo on website, t-shirt (t-shirts at sponsor’s expense, Symmetry approval required)
• $5,000 – logo on website, t-shirt, and badges on skater’s backpacks (t-shirts and badges at sponsor’s expense, Symmetry approval required)
